OVERVIEW
Manufactured on May 1962, originally supplied through Hoffmans of Sheffield and first registered as 133 DWA. Its accompanying Jaguar Heritage Certificate records the car as a right-hand-drive 3.8-litre Fixed Head Coupé, originally finished in Opalescent Silver Grey with a red interior.
Today, the car benefits from a 5-speed manual gearbox, helping to make longer-distance driving more relaxed, together with adjustable front suspension, an uprated cooling system and a dynamo-to-alternator conversion. Wider 6½ x 15-inch wire wheels give the car a subtly more purposeful stance while remaining entirely in keeping with the E-Type’s period appearance.
Inside, a modern radio and upgraded speakers add a discreet degree of contemporary convenience without detracting from the overall character of the cabin.
More recently, the car has undergone a substantial programme of preparation with E-Type UK, addressing a range of mechanical, electrical, suspension, cooling and fuel-system items.
